Aer Rianta International (ARI) has been at the forefront of travel retail for over 65 years and was voted Airport Retailer of the Year in 2015. ARI designs, manages and operates duty free and duty paid airport retail outlets in 11 countries worldwide in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australasia and the Americas. Its stores employ more than 3,500 people worldwide and the company had a managed turnover of over $1 billion in 2015. It also provides a full suite of operational models and services to airport authorities and other partners wishing to develop and manage a successful travel retail business. Uniquely ARI is the only global travel retailer that operates airports, through our parent daa (Dublin Airport Authority), which manages the two largest international airports in Ireland, Dublin and Cork. Here in the Middle East, Aer Rianta International Middle East (ARIME) is the biggest international duty free operator in the region with business interests in Bahrain, Qatar, Beirut and Muscat. It recently won a 10-year retail contract for the new Midfield Terminal at Abu Dhabi International AIrport, as well as the Muscat Duty Free concession for their new terminal. ARI has strong connections in Saudi Arabia through daa international, an associate group company which operates the new 106,500 sq metre domestic terminal at KKIA.
